    Junior fastpitch tournament is a hit in Chichester

    The Chichester Falcons Softball Club hosted a fastpitch tournament for players aged 13-16 on Sunday 21 August, the first tournament of its kind in the city, at the Falcons’ home field in Oaklands Park.  Boys and girls came from around the UK to take part.

    The Chichester Falcons Junior Fastpitch section has just completed a 10-week summer programme, and is now preparing to host the club’s inaugural fastpitch tournament on Sunday 21 August.

    BSF makes two Development Grant awards

    The British Softball Federation Executive has made two Development Grant awards of £250 each: one to a recently-formed slowpitch softball club in St Helens on Merseyside to purchase equipment for new players and the other to the Great Britain Fastpitch League (GBFL) to help with umpire development.

    London Mets Girls’ Fastpitch Softball

    The London Mets Baseball Club is looking for recruits for a new Girls’ Fastpitch Softball programme.  Teams formed from the programme will play a 20-game league schedule from 13 March to 5 June.

    The junior fastpitch section of the Chichester Falcons Softball Club had a major helping hand on Thursday 11 February when their weekly practice session was run by a guest coach from GB Softball.
